The
area has something for everyone! It isn't only beautiful
scenery, although certainly there is no lack of that.
The Wye Valley also has The Steam Railway and of course
the famous "Tintern Abbey". In the Forest of Dean there
are the "Mining Caves", the "Speech House", famous in
the old days for its "Public Hangings", now a major
attraction for its gardens and arboretum.
The Bird Sanctuary at Newent having daily flying and
feeding exhibitions with Falcons, Eagle Owls and many
others.
Markets with "local produce", are an almost daily
occurrence somewhere in the vicinity.
If you happen to have an
interest in "Castles", look no further, they abound,
Goodrich, Monmouth, and Raglan castles on our door step,
Cardiff Castle being just a little further afield.
